Read more.» Hjemmesiden finner du HER. Boken jeg bestilte, var denne: A Calendar of Literary Facts: A Daily and Yearly Guide to Noteworthy Events in World Literature from 1450 to the Present (Vi får håpe at innholdet er mer inspirerende enn omslaget ...)
Jeg synes også at det de forteller om sin egen historie er et inspirerende eksempel på det man på engelsk kaller entrepeneurship (hva kaller man det på norsk? Igangsettervirksomhet?):

"Thriftbooks started when a programmer with brilliant ideas met a business-savvy entrepreneur at a boat launch on Lake Washington. Together they opened a small warehouse and began selling books on Amazon.com.

Now, a few years and over a million books later, Thriftbooks has emerged as one of the largest used book sellers in the country. The internet has changed the face of the used book industry and Thriftbooks has dived right in with enthusiasm. Thriftbooks uses cutting edge technology to process thousands of used books a day and pass them along to our growing base of loyal customers at the cheapest price possible.

Based in downtown Auburn, WA, our online bookstore has over a million books in stock and we add an additional 30,000 every day. Our entire process - from the moment the books come through the door in boxes until they leave in a padded envelope with your name and address on it - was designed from the ground up using the latest in technology and programming. We've squeezed every ounce of efficiency out of the system and we constantly look for ways to improve even more, which in the end means better prices for you.

Thriftbooks is privately owned and currently employs about 60 people with plans to continue expanding."
